monitors, hospital food, and potty breaks

This has been my life for the past 24 hrs or so. For a little update, I called the doctor yesterday after having some more contractions Monday night and Tuesday morning that were a little stronger and more consistent. So when I went to the dr yesterday and he checked me I had dilated some more...from a tight 3 to a loose 3. This concerned them so he wanted me to come to the hospital to monitor my contractions and get me on some meds to slow things down. He did not want me to get to 4-5 cm, because they would not be able to do as much to slow things down. So, Caleb and I agreed to a hospital stay (at least 48 hr). Not exactly how I was planning on spending my night. So, they have been monitoring my contractions and our little girl. She continues to look great. My contractions got pretty regular at 8-10 min apart yesterday before they got me on the meds. They have put me on a Calcium channel blocker and it has slowed things down. When the dr came in this morning my contractions had slowed down a lot so she let me get off the monitor and IV. It has been very nice to be free from all the wires for a while. They are planning to move me to a more comfortable room this afternoon and I should be able to go home in the morning as long as all continues to go well. They will continue to watch me and with check me in the morning to see if have progressed any and hopefully at that point everything will be fine and i will get to go home with meds and on bed rest. We are so thankful to God for his faithfulness to us through all this. It has been amazing to see him provide for us and to see his love manifested through friends and family who have been an amazing support and help. Thanks for your prayers and support.
