Pittsburgh...here we come

Tomorrow AM, around 6:30 we are headed out to Pittsburgh for Thanksgiving to see Caleb's grandfather and his aunt and her family. We have not seen them since last Thanksgiving...so they have not met Aaron. We are looking forward to visiting, but not the drive. This afternoon Caleb was "asked" to work in Pittsburgh for 3 weeks. So, instead of packing for a long weekend, I packed us for a week and a 1/2. All three of us will stay up there for the first week. We will all come back the first weekend of December and Caleb will fly back up Monday morning. So, while I am exploring Pittsburgh during the day with Aaron, and sitting in a hotel room I will hopefully get some stuff added to the blog.

Aaron has teeth!!!

A couple weeks ago, on October 25 (my dad's birthday) Aaron's first tooth broke through. Then last Friday, the second one started to peek through. He has done well with teething so far. He doesn't seem to be in much pain. But he does want to chew on any and everything in sight. As soon as I am able to get a picture on his two teeth, I will post them for you guys.

I am amazing that Aaron is already 7 months old. This time has flown by. My pregnancy seemed to take forever, but now that he is here, time is flying. There isn't much new going on right now. I will post again soon.

It's finally fall

This weekend we acted like it is fall, even though it was still in the 80's. We went to the Farmer's market on Saturday and picked out a pumpkin.

But he is happy in his stroller

Then Sunday went for a hike at Pilot Mountain then drive down the Blue Ridge Parkway. We had a great weekend as a family and were glad Caleb got a break from work. Here are some pictures.

Aaron "eating" peas

Aaron has had peas many times before, but for some reason, he did not like them tonight. He has been a great eater and has eaten everything that I have given him. Below are some pictures of the faces he was making as I tried to give him some peas. He barely opened his mouth, then would take a small bit. He barely would swallow them. As he did, he straightened his legs and shook his whole body. As a result, we had some great faces with more peas coming out of his mouth than going in. By the way, Tyler you can't have him...but come visit anytime.

I guess his thumb taste a lot better than the peas.

100% boy

I had no idea how early kids fell into "gender roles". For a long time Aaron has liked being outside and it was an easy way to calm him down if he was upset. Now I would say he loves it. He especially loves it when the wind blows. We go outside a lot of afternoons and watch cars go by, and he has the biggest smile on his face. The other day the recycling truck was going down out road and we stayed outside and watched it for 10 minutes or so. Aaron was so excited to watch the truck. He was laughing and kicking so much. Who would have thought that a 6 month old would already love trucks.

Even though he is 100% boy, he is still a sweet baby. He cuddles up more now (when he is sleepy) and gives great slobbery kisses on your cheek.

Pictures

Here are some recent pictures of Aaron.
